Can you really snag a $15 meal at Arrowhead? Yes — but splurge on these playoff dishes

Stadium food is known for its flair for the dramatic. Expensive eats can often pack a punch to the wallet.

However, deals are to be found at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, where value items are built into the vendors’ menus.

Whether you’re an avid tailgater who brings your barbecue, or a fan who looks forward to sweet, buttery stadium popcorn, here’s how to find some deals at the game.

A meal for $15 at Arrowhead Stadium

Value pricing for popular items like hot dogs, popcorn and soda are available at select locations throughout Arrowhead Stadium.

The value items: a junior hot hog, a 64 ounce junior popcorn and a 16 ounce junior soda are all $5 each. They are available at the Little Caesar’s concession stands on the lower level in sections 107 and 125 and the upper level in sections 315 and 343.

The value items are also available in the Community America Club Level in sections 215 and 238.

Mat Miller, Aramark’s General Manager at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, said pairing the value items together is a popular option.

“So all in, you can get a pretty good meal put together for $15,” Miller said.

In addition to the deals, Miller said, there are exclusive food offerings available for this year’s playoff run.

While the exclusive food comes at a higher price point than the value items, fans can have a shareable treat for $25.

New playoff food items

At $25, fans can indulge in “Touchdown Toast,” a new item from Aramark for the playoffs. It’s described as an “entire loaf of bread soaked in eggs, custard, milk and heavy cream, served with vanilla ice cream, berry sauce, strawberries and powdered sugar.” Fans can find the treat at the connected concepts stand in section 111.

At the same $25 price point is the Sweet Victory Sandwich. Another shareable item, it’s three fried grilled cheese sandwiches stuffed with brisket, topped with a pineapple relish and served with sweet potato fries on the side. Fans can grab the sandwich in Sections 102 and 116 at the burger stands.

On the stadium’s club level, Levy Restaurants unveiled several new playoff-inspired foods:

  • BBQ Chicken Pizza ($16.49): KC BBQ sauce, shredded mozzarella and cheddar, BBQ chicken, red onions, and sliced jalapenos.

  • Fried Ranch Bombs with Spicy Honey ($12.99): ranch and green onion cream cheese with panko breading, deep fried and served with hot honey cream cheese.

  • S’mores Nachos ($13.49): deep fried cinnamon sugar flour tortillas, marshmallow fluff, chocolate cream sauce, and toasted marshmallows dusted with graham cracker crumble.

  • Triple Smash Burger with Trifecta Sauce ($19.69): American Cheese and pickles; served with three dips (beer cheese, smoky ketchup and chipotle aioli)

  • Specialty cocktail, The Warmup ($14.49): with muddled jalapeno, lime juice, pineapple juice and ginger beer

  • Pink Slip Cocktail: Vodka Strawberry Lemonade. Available at all bars on the 200 level and served in two different cups: a Souvenir Chiefs Super Bowl Champions Cup for $18.49; or a Standard Cup for $14.49.

Heather Nichols, Levy’s Regional Vice President of Operations at Arrowhead, said in addition to these new items, suite packages are available with special playoff add-ons.

“People are here to celebrate, so we’ll tend to add on some more high-end menus, for people who want to go all out for the last home game,” Nichols said. “We will do some different packages like ordering champagne if people want to toast the victory after the game.”

But even with all of the specialty items available, the top seller at concessions is still chicken tenders, Nichols said.

“We have a pretty big tailgate crowd here. But if you come in early, we definitely have something for everybody,” he said.

“So if you’re used to going to a certain section, take some time to walk around and see what else you haven’t seen... we’re always introducing new items and different drinks... to make sure every fan can get something they enjoy,” Nichols said.
