La Liga giants Real Madrid have this week sealed an agreement over the contract extension of a highly-regarded up-and-coming member of the club’s defensive ranks.

That’s according to Diario AS, who point towards Alejandro Moya as the player in question.

Moya, for those not familiar with his name, is a gifted 18-year-old right-back.

The Spaniard has been honing his craft at La Fábrica for some time now, widely considered to be a potential star in the making.

Moya spent this past season plying his trade in the Spanish 2nd division on the books of Levante.

And so impressed were the Granotes with his efforts over the course of the campaign, that they are understood to have attempted to make the stopper’s arrival a permanent one.

As much, however, was rejected without so much as a 2nd thought by Real Madrid.

This comes with the plan having long been to tie Moya down to fresh terms in Spain’s capital.

And, as per a report from AS, this week, precisely that has been achieved:

‘The white club has just formalised the renewal of Alejandro Moya. Levante made efforts to try to buy him, but Madrid’s idea for months was for him to return to Valdebebas to be Arbeloa’s number two and help Real Madrid C.’
