Real Madrid’s teenage Brazilian target dreams of playing in Europe
Real Madrid’s scouting successes in Brazil in the recent past have been well documented.
Brazilian duo Rodrygo and Vinicius Jr. have turned out to be absolute bargains for Real Madrid, whereas Endrick has shown positive signs early on in the season.
This has emboldened Real Madrid to continue their scouting mission in Brazil, with Vitor Reis emerging as yet another top target for Los Blancos.
Reis wants to play in Europe
Reis, for his part, is already dreaming of a move to Europe. The youngster, while still fully committed to his current club Palmeiras, has recently expressed his desire to play in Europe one day.
“My desire is always to play in Europe, but my mind is 100% on Palmeiras; I’m not thinking about anything else,” the young defender told GE (h/t Mundo Deportivo).
Despite his ambition, Reis remains focused on his immediate goals with the Sao Paulo-based team, where he has solidified his position in the starting eleven under coach Abel Ferreira.
Having made his debut in June, Reis has played 14 games, 12 of which were as a starter, scoring two goals along the way.
Real Madrid to face immense competition
While Real Madrid has shown significant interest in Reis, they are not alone in their pursuit.
Several European heavyweights, including Barcelona, have also been monitoring the young Brazilian. Clubs from England and Italy are rumoured to be interested as well.
The intense competition for his signature indicates that Real Madrid will face a fierce battle to bring this promising defender to the Santiago Bernabeu.
Not to mention, the Brazilian prodigy may also cost a fortune. With a contract running until 2028 and a release clause of €100 million, any interested club will need deep pockets to secure his services.
