Real Madrid’s summer squad-building continues to impress, having secured talents such as Kylian Mbappe and Endrick, with more additions still in the pipeline.

Following an incredibly successful season, Real Madrid are flush with funds and particularly holds a few players in high regard: Leny Yoro, Alphonso Davies, and Franco Mastantuono.

The youngest player on their wishlist, Mastantuono has been on the ascendance in Argentina and continues to pique the Merengues’ interest, appealing as a long-term signing.

Now, according to The Athletic Real Madrid are aware of the signing conditions, and sources from Mastantuono’s camp are confident that the club will make it the most expensive transfer in the history of Argentine football.

The 16-year-old left-footed attacking midfielder from River Plate has a release clause of €45 million, which reportedly rises to €50 million in the closing days of the transfer window.

Reports have previously argued that Real Madrid have already finalized personal terms with Mastantuono and all that awaits is submitting an official offer to River Plate, which will likely be the activation of his release clause.

Having recently missed out on Argentine talents like Claudio Echeverri and Julian Alvarez, Real Madrid are keen to avoid any complications with River Plate this time around.

While Real Madrid won’t encounter the same hurdles as they did with Endrick when bringing Mastantuono to the Spanish capital once he reaches the eligible age, they are likely to prioritize his continued development in Argentina before integrating him into their squad.

Given that the teenage sensation is a man in demand, though, Real Madrid will have to act quickly.

Moreover, his release clause will increase in the final days of the transfer window, which further incentivizes Real Madrid to seal the deal pre-emptively.
