Real Madrid star set for 4-6 weeks out with injury
La Liga giants Real Madrid have on Wednesday been dealt a fresh blow on the personnel front.
This comes amid confirmation that midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni is set for an incoming spell on the sidelines.
Tchouaméni for his part featured from the off on Tuesday night, as Real Madrid welcomed AC Milan to the Spanish capital for a Champions League clash.
En route to an eventual 3-1 defeat for Los Blancos, however, the former AS Monaco man was hooked from proceedings with just 45 minutes on the clock.
Speaking to the media in the game’s aftermath, Carlo Ancelotti admitted that as much came with Tchouaméni struggling with a fitness concern.
And, as alluded to above, on Wednesday, an insight into the precise nature of this problem has been provided.
As per a statement across Real Madrid’s website and social media platforms:
‘Following tests carried out today by Real Madrid’s Medical Services on our player Aurélien Tchouameni, he has been diagnosed with a sprained left ankle. His progress will be monitored.’

As per Blancos insider José Luis Sánchez of El Chiringuito TV, amongst others, Tchouaméni’s ankle issue is expected to keep the Frenchman sidelined for a period of four to six weeks.
