Real Madrid star forced into early departure from Mallorca clash
A leading member of the defensive ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid was forced into a premature departure from the club’s meeting with RCD Mallorca this evening.
The player in question? Aurélien Tchouaméni.
France international Tchouaméni was for his part afforded a starting berth in the clash, joining Antonio Rüdiger at the heart of defence.
As alluded to above, though, early in the 2nd-half, the former AS Monaco man was hauled off by boss Carlo Ancelotti.
As much came after he was involved in a heavy collision in the Real Madrid penalty area, which left Tchouaméni grounded and in evident discomfort.
After attempting to run the issue, which appeared to be with his head, off, the 24-year-old was ultimately left with no choice but to call for a substitution.
Tchouaméni, in turn, headed straight down the tunnel at King Abdullah Sport City, replaced in Los Blancos’ backline by youngster Raúl Asencio.
