A leading member of the attacking ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid is ready to cut his summer vacation time short.

That’s according to Relevo, who point towards Rodrygo as the player in question.

Frontman Rodrygo, for his part, is currently in the midst of a rare spell away from the pitch, having seen out his commitments with the Brazilian national team at the Copa América.

The 23-year-old is entitled to a break extending into the first week of August, but looks set to link back up with Carlo Ancelotti’s squad ahead of schedule.

As per a report from Relevo, in the knowledge that competition for places in Real Madrid’s frontline will be fiercer than ever across the season ahead, Rodrygo has informed the club of his intention to return to training early.

His expected comeback date is this coming Wednesday, July 31st.

As much would afford the talented attacker the chance to feature in his side’s friendly showdown with arch rivals Barcelona, with it noted that:

‘In fact, his goal is to play that Clásico at Metlife Stadium to start adding minutes this preseason.’
