Regarded as the favourites to sign Leny Yoro not more than a week back, Real Madrid’s pursuit of the young defender has turned on its head recently.

Earlier this week, Manchester United entered the Yoro pursuit with a lucrative offer that made them the primary competitor to Real Madrid, in the race to sign the defender.

Now, it appears Man United are on their way to hi-jacking Real Madrid’s move for the Frenchman, as their bid for the player was accepted by LOSC Lille.

Leny Yoro to fly to England

The reliable David Ornstein has offered another crucial update on the future of Leny Yoro, which could hurt many Real Madrid fans.

In a major development, it appears Leny Yoro is all set to fly to the UK to complete his medical at Manchester United and final personal terms with the Premier League giants.

After LOSC Lille accepted the offer from Man United, the English outfit only need to reach an agreement with Yoro to complete the acquisition.

Man United are willing to fork out more than €60 million to sign the Frenchman, who is regarded as one of the best young defenders in world football.

The road ahead for Real Madrid

Man United, though, still have some work to do before they can finalise an agreement with Yoro. The player, after all, could be giving up his dream of playing for Real Madrid in favour of a move to Old Trafford.

Hence, it won’t be surprising to see the young defender holding out for a lucrative contract at Manchester United.

Real Madrid, meanwhile, have identified a few alternatives in the market, including Mario Gila of Lazio while Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi has also emerged as a candidate.

It will be interesting to see how Los Blancos approach this dilemma, once Yoro completes his move to Old Trafford.
