Real Madrid rubbing their hands as ex-academy starlet is impressing after summer exit
Real Madrid are thrilled with the early success of Nico Paz, their 20-year-old talent who joined Serie A side Como 1907 in the summer, according to a report from MARCA.
Managed by former Arsenal and Barcelona player Cesc Fabregas, Como have seen the Real Madrid youth player adapt quickly to top-flight Italian football.
It must be noted that Nico, who impressed for Castilla last season and even found the net for Real Madrid in the Champions League, made the move to Como for €6 million in August.
His contract includes a 50% resale clause and a buyback option, giving Real Madrid the chance to reclaim him if needed.
Under Fabregas’ guidance, Nico has already made a significant impact. In his four appearances for Como in Serie A, he has cemented his place in the starting line-up, providing two assists in just 238 minutes on the field.
His performances have caught the eye, with his versatility and vision proving key assets.
A goal against Atalanta
During a 3-2 victory over Atalanta, the youngster was instrumental in the win, playing a crucial role in Como’s attacking play. His long-range effort led to an own goal by Sead Kolasinac, a crucial moment in the game, and he set up Como’s third goal.
Nico’s composure and decision-making have made him a key player for Fabregas, who is clearly impressed with his contributions.
“I like the new players to score. We often got into the right position and then, at the last moment, sometimes we weren’t good at making the difference. Today we did it,” said the Como boss.
Nico’s swift rise in Serie A is undoubtedly exciting for Real Madrid, who are closely monitoring his progress.
The young midfielder has shown he is capable of handling the challenges of top-tier football, and his time under Fabregas is helping him refine his skills further.
If his performances continue to improve, it is likely Real Madrid will be eager to bring him back into their fold in the future.
