La Liga giants Real Madrid are expected to utilise a previously unseen central defensive partnership in their upcoming meeting with AC Milan.

That’s according to Relevo, who have provided a fresh insight into the latest developments behind the scenes in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad.

The Spanish champions are primed to step up their preparations for the new campaign this coming Thursday, in a friendly clash with the aforementioned AC Milan.

Boss Carlo Ancelotti remains without a whole host of key performers for the matchup, with his options at centre-half, in particular, looking short.

And as much, it is claimed, could open the door to some of Real’s most highly-regarded youngsters, to make a name for themselves.

As per a report from Relevo, all set to feature from the off against Milan will be Castilla talent Asencio.

And joining the 21-year-old at the heart of defence, it is understood, will be one of another pair of up-and-coming starlets.

‘Joan Martínez and Jacobo Ramón will have the opportunity to fight for the position,’ it is added.
