Real Madrid prepared to wait for Alex Jimenez as Milan clarify January stance
Reports in Italy claim that Real Madrid are prepared to wait until the summer to sign Alex Jimenez back from Milan, but the Rossoneri are keen to keep the Spaniard beyond the 2024-25 season and are not prepared to send him out on loan in January.
Reports earlier in the week suggested that Madrid are interested in bringing Alex Jimenez back to the Bernabeu as early as January in an attempt to fix their current issues at right-back.
Calciomercato.com claimed that Los Blancos were seeking a loan deal for the 19-year-old who moved from Madrid to San Siro for a €5m fee last season. A loan deal would have likely been a temporary fix until the club signs a right-back such as Trent Alexander-Arnold on a permanent deal in the summer.

However, according to Sunday’s updates from La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan and advisor Zlatan Ibarhimovic have made it clear that they do not wish to lose Jimenez in January, as they wish to strengthen Sergio Conceicao’s squad rather than take players away unnecessarily.
The Pink Paper suggests that Madrid are willing to wait until the summer to sign Jimenez, when Milan will not be able to stand in their way.
Madrid have a buy-back option for the Spaniard set at €9m this summer and €12m for the following summer.
