Real Madrid prepared to spend €30 million on Alphonso Davies’ alternative – report
Real Madrid plan on signing a new left-back in the summer of 2025, with Alphonso Davies of Bayern Munich being their priority target.
After all, the Canadian international is set to be out of contract at the end of the season, meaning he will be a free agent in the summer.
However, of late, reports have suggested that Davies could sign a new contract at Bayern, forcing Real Madrid to explore alternatives, one of whom happens to be AC Milan star Theo Hernandez.
Real Madrid would pay €30 million for Theo
Now, according to Fichajes, with a contract that ties him to AC Milan until June 2026, Theo Hernandez’s market value is estimated at €50 million. However, Real Madrid has a clear strategy.
The Spanish champions are willing to pay €30 million to finalise the deal, although they are not ruling out waiting until the end of his contract if the financial demands of the Italians remain too high.
The interest from Real Madrid is no coincidence, as Theo previously spent time at the club before establishing himself as one of the best left-backs in European football.
However, his strained relationship with Paulo Fonseca, the manager of Milan, has opened a door for his potential return to the Spanish capital.
Theo, for his part, would be open to a return to the Santiago Bernabeu. The player not only values the sporting project at Real Madrid, but also the opportunity to reunite with an environment that feels familiar and appealing.
The final decision will depend on how negotiations with Milan progress and whether the Italian club are willing to let one of its key figures leave for a reasonable price.
