Real Madrid predicted XI v Brest: Vinicius Jr. suspended
Brest host Real Madrid in Matchday 8 of the Champions League at Guingamp’s Stade du Roudourou. Eric Roy’s Pirates are ahead of Carlo Ancelotti’s serial UCL champions in the standings. Brest are already qualified for the playoff rounds but Real Madrid are adamant an away win will hand them an easier route into the knock-out phase.
The Italian manager won’t be able to rely on Vinicius Jr. as the Brazilian winger is suspended. Real Madrid’s No. 7 has been handed a yellow card for diving last week against Red Bull Salzburg. In the absence of Vinicius Jr., Brahim Diaz is expected to get the nod to start on the right wing opposite Rodrygo.
Three France internationals are expected to start tonight at Guingamp. Defensive midfielder Aurélien Tchouaméni is in line to start at the back alongside Antonio Rüdiger. Ferland Mendy will defend Real Madrid’s left flank. In-form centre-forward Kylian Mbappé will lead the line against Brest.
Real Madrid likely XI vs Brest
Thibaut Courtois – Lucas Vazquez, Aurélien Tchouaméni, Antonio Rüdiger, Ferland Mendy – Dani Ceballos, Federico Valverde, Jude Bellingham – Brahim Diaz, Kylian Mbappé, Rodrygo.
