Reinier recently made headlines with his performance for RM Castilla, as they secured a comprehensive 5-1 win over CD Illescas, in a friendly.

The Brazilian scored a sensational hat-trick, thus catching the attention of coach Carlo Ancelotti, who was present in the game.

Reinier’s performance against CD Illescas, though, is unlikely to have any impact on his future at the club, which, as things stand, look very bleak.

Real Madrid’s plan with Reinier

A recent report from AS has offered an update on the future of Reinier, whose contract at Santiago Bernabeu expires in 2026.

It appears Los Blancos are keen to find a new destination for Reinier this summer. They are open to either loaning him or selling him on a permanent deal.

It must be noted that Reinier has spent a few loan spells at Borussia Dortmund, Frosinone and Granada since joining Real Madrid in 2020.

But having failed to impress at any of these clubs, the playmaker’s value has gone down significantly.

Reinier started the 2023/24 campaign quite well at Frosinone, but his progress was marred by an injury. He ended the campaign with just two goals in 22 league matches.

Aware of Reinier’s struggles, Real Madrid are desperately looking to find a new suitor for the Brazilian this summer. Their objective is to recoup most of the €30 million investment they had made in the player in 2020.

Reinier was linked with a move to Valladolid earlier in the summer, but it remains to be seen whether or not the newly promoted La Liga outfit have retained their interest in the Real Madrid outcast.
