Real Madrid monitored potential transfer targets during Germany vs Netherlands

Real Madrid are perennially attentive to the transfer market and the incentive to keep an eye on potential targets is only furthered this season given the long list of injuries.

As revealed earlier, the management has identified the centre-back and right-back positions as the priority for upcoming transfer markets given the squad’s acute shortage of resources in the positions.

Los Blancos have currently dispersed for the international break with most starters on duty with their respective national teams. Pepe Alvarez, however, brings to light that the scouting department is still working hard.

Eyes on international games

As revealed by the Real Madrid Socio, the Merengues’ sporting management followed last night’s clash between Germany and The Netherlands played at Allianz Arena which ended in a 1-0 win for the hosts.

Several of the clubs’s potential transfer targets were in action and the scouting department hoped to get a closer look into their playing styles and potential on the night.

Some of the names linked with Real Madrid who featured on the night included Germany captain Joshua Kimmich, who has been rumoured as a possible midfield target, and Florian Wirtz, the long-term replacement for Luka Modric.

Jonathan Tah, Real Madrid’s top centre-back target, stayed on the bench and played no part in the proceedings against Ronald Koeman’s side.

In the Dutch camp, Jeremy Frimpong came on as a substitute and would have caught the eye of the club representatives as he has been linked as a potential right-back signing.

As it stands, it is unclear if Los Blancos will push for new signings in January or wait until the summer transfer window to secure their new reinforcements. While Ancelotti is pushing for immediate arrivals, Florentino Perez does not concur.
