Real Madrid secured another hard-fought victory this past weekend as they beat RCD Espanyol 4-1 at the Santiago Bernabeu.

However, the win came at some cost as two key players, Jude Bellingham and Dani Carvajal, suffered injury scares.

Having returned to action only last week from an injury, the 21-year-old midfielder hurt his left shoulder during the game, causing some concerns. After all, Bellingham has been dealing with an issue with his left shoulder for almost a year now.

Although it turned out that there was no major scare, reports emerged claiming that Bellingham could be rested against Deportivo Alaves this week.

But now, MARCA reports that Bellingham is not in favour of taking a break against Alaves and wants to keep on playing.

The Real Madrid talisman feels that it is in his best interest to continue playing so that he can recover his best form after having been out of action for close to a month due to a foot injury.

As such, today’s training session will be key in determining whether Bellingham will be available to face Alaves on Tuesday night or not.

After all, Ancelotti must also be mindful of the fact that Real Madrid have a huge clash against Atletico Madrid coming up on Sunday.

Bellingham has played only four of Real Madrid’s eight matches this season, missing the other four due to the aforementioned foot injury.

The 21-year-old England international is yet to open his goalscoring account for the season, but has managed to register a solitary assist thus far.

More clarity on his condition and availability for tomorrow’s match should emerge later in the day once the training session starts and Ancelotti appears for his press conference.

Irrespective of whether he plays tomorrow or not, it is expected that Bellingham will be ready for the derby on Sunday.
