Real Madrid linked with another central defender at Euro 2024

Real Madrid are looking to sign Lille defender Leny Yoro this summer, but they have been linked with several others in the last few weeks too. The 18-year-old Frenchman remains their top target though.

Recently Riccardo Calafiori was reported as a potential target for Los Blancos, but that was quickly dismissed. Now Caught Offside are reporting that alongside Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid are interested in Arsenal centre-back William Saliba. Yoro’s compatriot continues to grow, and has been a regular for France at Euro 2024. They go on to say that Arsenal have no intention of selling, but the Champions League winners have asked for more information on him.

Real Madrid were linked to Saliba back in October, and it may well be that they are evaluating their options down the line. With Antonio Rudiger and David Alaba into their thirties, no doubt they will be weighing up potential successors already. It would be highly surprising if they moved for the 23-year-old this summer though. Equally, it could well be an agent trying to earn a better deal for his client.
