According to a report from Jorge Picon, Lille are heading into a dead end concerning keeping Leny Yoro, as a result of which, Real Madrid are hoping to reach an agreement for the youngster’s transfer soon.

It is to be noted that Yoro has been a target for Real Madrid for months. With Nacho deciding to leave and uncertainties surrounding David Alaba’s return after his ACL injury, the club prioritised Yoro’s arrival.

The interest in Yoro is so strong that competitors are starting to give up. In that regard, Liverpool and PSG know Yoro wants to play for Real Madrid, as since learning of Madrid’s interest, Yoro asked his agents to make it a priority.

As a result, while Liverpool and PSG continue to monitor the situation, they are beginning to accept that Yoro is likely to join Madrid.

Interestingly, Real Madrid have already reached an agreement with Yoro; now, they just need to finalise the deal with Lille, who are in a tough spot.

Lille are now cornered

It is understood that Lille cannot demand a high fee for Yoro because they risk losing him for nothing next year. Their attempts to use other interested clubs to increase the price are not working.

Despite this, Lille are trying to get as much as they can from the deal. Initial figures of €100, €80, or €60 million are off the table and Madrid will pay a significantly lower amount.

They understand Lille’s situation but know they have the upper hand. They just need to wait and use Yoro’s desire to join them to their advantage.

Behind the scenes, there is a broader issue that is forcing Lille into a dilemma: either sell Yoro now for a decent fee or risk losing a significant amount of money they desperately need.

Now, it is no secret that Real Madrid want Yoro as their future centre-back and are willing to wait. With all the cards on the table, it is up to Lille to find a middle ground in negotiations.

The goal is to finalize the transfer soon and avoid dragging it out over the summer. If all goes well, Yoro will fulfil his dream of playing for Real Madrid, becoming a key name in their transfer plans.
