Real Madrid’s preparations for the new season have well and truly begun, with Carlo Ancelotti kickstarting the team’s training, albeit with a limited number of first-team players.

In light of many Real Madrid players representing their nations in the recently concluded Euro 2024 and Copa America this summer, the club are expecting many of their star players to return to training a little later than usual.

Two of Real Madrid’s Euro finalists – Dani Carvajal and Jude Bellingham – for example, are expected to miss the pre-season tour to the United States.

The same could apply to the Brazilian group of Vinicius Junior, Endrick, Eder Militao and Rodrygo, all of who took part in Copa America.

When will the Brazilians return to Santiago Bernabeu?

A recent report from Jorge Picon, though, has indicated that Real Madrid may have their Brazilian trio – Vinicius, Militao and Rodrygo – back in time for the US tour.

All three will take part in the tour, though they may miss the initial week of action, owing to an extended break handed to them by the club.

The report adds that these three players might return to camp somewhere around August 2 and will be incorporated into the setup in New York.

That said, Endrick plans to join the camp from day one of the US tour, as he plans to sign his contract and get officially presented as a Real Madrid player.

It must be noted that Real Madrid are slated to face Barcelona on August 3 in New Jersey. However, if the Brazilian trio return on August 2, it is highly unlikely they will be fit enough to feature in this game.

However, they could be in contention to feature in Real Madrid’s last game of the US tour on August 6, as they take on Chelsea in Charlotte.

In any case, Real Madrid will hope to have the full team available by the time the season starts on August 14, in the UEFA Supercup Final against Atalanta – a game which could see Kylian Mbappe make his professional debut for the club.
