Real Madrid forward could be in contention to feature against AC Milan
Real Madrid starlet Rodrygo was notably missing in action during the team’s dismal 4-0 defeat at the hands of Barcelona.
That is because the forward had picked up a hamstring injury just after the Borussia Dortmund, which has since kept him out on the sidelines.
However, as Real Madrid gear up for another important Champions League encounter, there is a possibility the Brazilian could make a return.
Rodrygo to return vs Milan?
According to a recent report from Mundo Deportivo, Rodrygo could be in contention to feature against Milan on Tuesday.
The forward is working hard in training to be labelled fit for the UCL encounter. He has already returned to training and notably trained with the group this morning.
As such, there is a possibility he could be included in Real Madrid’s squad for the clash against the Rossoneri this midweek.
While Rodrygo could make it in time for the AC Milan clash, Real Madrid are likely to miss out on the likes of Thibaut Courtois, Dani Carvajal and David Alaba.
A big boost for Real Madrid?
Rodrygo’s potential return to action could be a massive boost for Real Madrid, who lacked creativity and urgency in the final third against Barcelona.
The over-reliance on Vinicius and Mbappe backfired badly. Rodrygo, therefore, can relieve the burden from the two attackers and attract markers with his darting runs out wide.
This, in turn, could greatly favour Real Madrid, who are in desperate of more enterprise in the final third if they are to secure another win in the Champions League.
