Real Madrid demand €10 million for 50% of academy prodigy’s rights

With the competition for a place in Real Madrid’s midfield now cutthroat, Nico Paz sees no place for himself in Carlo Ancelotti’s dynamics.

The young Argentine star has thus been linked with a move away from the club this summer as he looks for a team where he is guaranteed more playing time.

Paz has been on the lookout for suitors for a long time now and his decent showing in the pre-season USA tour has only improved his market value.

Asking price set

As revealed in a recent update by Rodra, Real Madrid have set a price of €10 million for 50% of the young midfielder’s rights.

In such a manoeuvre, the club will retain half his rights and thus 50% of any future sale. After all, Florentino Perez and Co. are aware of his sky-high ceiling and refuse to part with 100% of his rights.

The coming weeks will be critical in deciding Paz’s future, but Cesc Fabregas’ Como are said to be interested in signing him and are best placed to do so.

After all, they do not fear Real Madrid’s asking price and also house Dani Guindos, Paz’s former trainer at Castilla.

Two other interested parties

While the Italian option tempts the player, Paz also has proposals from within Spain on his table.

Alaves and Girona are both alert to the possibility of signing the midfielder while Leganes also hold decent interest. The Catalan option appeals to Paz but there has been no formal approach so far.

The closing days of the transfer window, needless to say, will be critical for the Merengues, especially in terms of departure operations.
