Real Madrid defender Antonio Rudiger has gone viral for the way he jovially slaps his teammates during celebrations after they score a goal.

The likes of Kylian Mbappe, Endrick, Jude Bellingham, and many others have been at the receiving end of the hits from the German international.

However, last night, during Los Blancos’ 3-1 win over VfB Stuttgart in the UEFA Champions League, Rudiger got a taste of his own medicine.

With the game tied at 1-1, the defender headed home a Luka Modric corner to hand his team the lead and some of his teammates exacted revenge on the German by slapping and hitting him after he found the back of the net.

The likes of Endrick, Mbappe, and Eder Militao all got some blows in as Rudiger experienced the same treatment he hands out to his teammates.

Speaking in the mixed zone after the match, Rudiger talked about the incident, stating that he was happy with the goal and was also happy to accept the slaps from his teammates, although he did issue a warning to them, saying:

“If I score more goals, they can keep hitting me, but they’ll score more goals than me and I’ll be there.”

Like Thibaut Courtois and Rodrygo, Rudiger also praised Endrick for his self-confidence and belief which shone through his late goal against Stuttgart, saying:

“Endrick… no Endrick, Bobby has a lot of personality. Thank God he scored the goal, otherwise there would be problems.”
