Real Madrid’s deal for Bayern Munich star is ‘practically done’
La Liga giants Real Madrid have all but sewn up a deal for Bayern Munich star Alphonso Davies.
That’s according to Relevo, who have on Thursday provided an insight into the latest developments in the saga.
Davies, for his part, has of course long been earmarked by the brass at Real Madrid as the ideal addition to Carlo Ancelotti’s star-studded squad.
Negotiations, in turn, were kicked into gear this past summer, over the Canadian international’s arrival in Spain’s capital.
In the end, no agreement was found with Bayern Munich, with Davies having therefore stayed put in Bavaria for the 2024/25 campaign.
The fact remains, however, that the defender’s contract terms are due to expire in just seven months’ time.
And, if the latest word stemming from the media on Thursday is anything to go by, then Davies’ future can already be considered as essentially set in stone.
As per a report from Blancos insider Javier Rodríguez Pascual of Relevo:
‘The left-back position is not being worked on because it is practically already done. Real Madrid are planning the upcoming campaign with Alphonso Davies in the squad.’
Upon the turn of the year, the Spanish champions will reopen talks with Davies and his entourage, with a view to finding a quick agreement on the final terms of a pre-contract.
