Real Madrid consider fresh offer for Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold after Clasico defeat

Real Madrid have been jumpstarted into action after a second thumping of the season at the hands of rivals Barcelona on Sunday night. It could see Liverpool face a fresh onslaught to bring in Trent Alexander-Arnold in the January transfer window.

Los Blancos are once again considering action in January, with the right-back position one of their priorities. According to Diario AS, Real Madrid are open to increasing their offer, after Liverpool turned down a €15m bid for the 25-year-old. Now they would be willing to increase that bid to €20m to bring in a player they have already agreed a deal with for the summer.ç

Even so, Relevo state that Liverpool’s firmness means Real Madrid are losing any hope they had of bringing in Alexander-Arnold during this transfer window. If they fail to bring in reinforcements, then Carlo Ancelotti will be left with a choice between Fede Valverde, Lucas Vazquez or Castilla right-back Lorenzo Aguado for the role.
