Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has on Friday confirmed that two leading members of his squad will play no part in the club’s next outing.

Los Blancos, of course, are currently in the midst of final preparations for a return to action on Saturday evening.

With the first international break of the season now behind us, Real will make the trip to Anoeta, hopeful of closing the gap on table-topping arch rivals Barcelona in La Liga.

In efforts towards putting Real Sociedad to the sword, however, the reigning Spanish champions will be forced to make do without two crucial midfield figures.

The pair in question? Jude Bellingham, and Aurélien Tchouaméni.

Youngster Bellingham has of course been sidelined since last month owing to a muscular issue, whilst fellow engine room standout Tchouaméni was sent home from international duty with France after picking up a foot problem.

Speaking in a press conference on Friday afternoon, it therefore came as little surprise when the status of both for this weekend was put to boss Ancelotti.

And, in his response, the Italian tactician dealt those hopeful of seeing at least one of Bellingham or Tchouaméni in action in San Sebastian a blow:

“Bellingham and Tchouaméni will not play tomorrow. It’s still too early.”
