Spanish publication AS has reported an exciting update about Real Madrid’s plans for the future.

According to their sources, Real Madrid and Canadian football star Alphonso Davies have decided to delay his move to the team until the summer of 2025. This decision comes after facing high financial demands from Davies’ current club, Bayern Munich.

The core issue here is the substantial transfer fee Bayern Munich is demanding for Davies. Despite the fact that Davies’ contract with Bayern is relatively short, the German club is holding out for an exorbitant fee of over €50 million.

Recently, the negotiations between Davies and Bayern Munich have become quite strained. Bayern Munich even offered Davies an impressive contract renewal, with an annual salary of €14 million.

However, his strong desire to join Real Madrid has created friction with Bayern’s management. This tension has been evident in their interactions over the past few months.

Back in March, Bayern Munich’s management gave Davies an ultimatum, causing further frustration.

His agent, Nedal Huoseh, voiced concerns about the fairness of the situation, suggesting that a decision should be made at the end of the season when things would be clearer. Since then, the relationship between Davies and Bayern Munich has been complicated.

Although there were moments when it seemed like an agreement might be reached, Bayern eventually withdrew their lucrative offer and made it clear that Davies would have to see out his contract before being allowed to leave for free.

On the other hand, Real Madrid have been willing to invest around €35 million for Davies’ transfer. To navigate this situation, both Real Madrid and Davies have agreed to a plan where he will join the team in 2025.

This arrangement will be beneficial for all parties involved. Davies will move to Madrid without any transfer fee, akin to the recent situation with Kylian Mbappe, and will receive a generous signing bonus as compensation.

For Real Madrid, this plan allows them to save a significant amount of money, which will be useful for renewing contracts, particularly for Ferland Mendy.
