Real Madrid have on Thursday registered an up-and-coming member of the club’s defensive ranks for La Liga play.

The player in question? Jacobo Ramón.

The name of youngster Ramón has become an altogether more recognisable one to those of a Real Madrid persuasion across the summer to date.

This comes after the 19-year-old, first, played his part in Spain sealing glory at the U19 European Championships.

Amid the dearth of options at the heart of Carlo Ancelotti’s senior Blancos squad, Ramón was then afforded a place in Real’s squad for the club’s pre-season tour of the USA.

And, as alluded to above, on Thursday, the stopper’s star has only continued to rise.

As confirmed on the official La Liga website, Ramón has been registered to play his part in the upcoming Spanish top-flight campaign.

With Joan Martínez having recently followed David Alaba onto the sidelines, Ramón could therefore even be afforded a spot in Real’s matchday squad to face Mallorca in the club’s La Liga opener this weekend.
