A highly-regarded up-and-coming member of the defensive ranks at Real Madrid has been afforded a call-up for the club’s opening fixture of the campaign.

Carlo Ancelotti’s troops are of course primed to kick the defence of their La Liga title into gear on Sunday night.

Fresh off putting Atalanta to the sword in the UEFA Super Cup in midweek, Real will make the trip to Son Moix, for a meeting with RCD Mallorca.

Earlier this afternoon, the panel of stars who will set about getting the better of Mallorca, in turn, was unveiled online.

And front and centre in the travelling group, as alluded to above, was a breakthrough member of the academy setup in Spain’s capital.

The player in question? Jacobo Ramón.

Stopper Ramón was for his part afforded a place in Carlo Ancelotti’s Blancos squad for the club’s recent pre-season tour of the USA.

And the 19-year-old, evidently, left a positive impression with his efforts.

As confirmed by way of a post across Real Madrid’s social media platforms on Saturday, Ramón has joined the likes of Kylian Mbappé, Jude Bellingham and Luka Modrić in the panel of players bound for Son Moix:
