Real Betis veteran stirs speculation about Real Madrid midfielder’s signing – ‘He’s making himself loved’
Dani Ceballos’ recent activity on social media has once again hinted at a potential return to Real Betis. This time, it was a response to a comment made by Isco that reignited speculation.
For Ceballos, he has frequently shown his affection for his former club, and Betis have long been eager to see him return.
Adding to the intrigue, Isco, who recently returned to the starting lineup for Betis after seven months sidelined due to injury, also seemed to encourage the idea in a lighthearted exchange.
Isco wants Ceballos at Betis
The conversation took place following Real Betis’ draw against Rayo Vallecano, during an interaction with DAZN.
“Let’s see if he comes here soon, he’s making himself loved, the bastard,” said the former Real Madrid midfielder.
While Isco jokingly expressed his hope for Ceballos’ return, it was Ceballos’ earlier social media response to a Christmas-themed image that fuelled the speculation further.
"A ver si @DaniCeballos46 se viene ya pa' acá'. Se está haciendo querer el mamón" 😂😂😂

In the photo montage, Betis manager Manuel Pellegrini was depicted as a green-and-white Santa Claus alongside Isco and Vitor Roque, to which Ceballos playfully remarked about “coming back for Christmas.”
Change in Real Madrid’s stance
Despite the playful hints, a January move for Ceballos seems unlikely. Real Betis are reportedly more focused on the possibility of bringing the player back at the end of the season.
However, this will depend heavily on their financial situation, as securing the midfielder would require significant resources for such a move.
Meanwhile, at Real Madrid, Ceballos’ standing within the squad has improved considerably. Any initial doubts about his future with the team have been dispelled thanks to his recent impressive performances.
These displays have earned him the trust of Carlo Ancelotti, solidifying his role in the squad for now.
While Betis fans may continue to dream of Ceballos’ return to his boyhood club, it remains to be seen whether the midfielder will don the green and white jersey again.
