The powers that be at Bundesliga outfit RB Leipzig have already identified the player whom they consider the ideal replacement for Dani Olmo.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, who have on Monday provided an insight into the latest developments behind the scenes at the Red Bull Arena.

The name of attacker Olmo has of course taken its place front and centre in the headlines in his home country of Spain for some time now.

As much comes with the 26-year-old having been identified as a leading transfer target on the part of Barcelona.

Amid ongoing efforts to add to the offensive ranks under the watch of new head coach Hansi Flick, negotiations with Olmo’s entourage have long been in full swing.

To date, Barca have not met the demands of their Leipzig counterparts, who are demanding that the player’s release clause be paid in full.

Evidently, though, the German outfit are of the feeling that, when all is said and done, the Blaugrana will pay up.

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo:

‘RB Leipzig wants Barça to make an offer that is better than the first one and to close the deal as soon as possible.’

Why? Their impending pursuit of Olmo’s replacement, Francisco Conceiçao.

Portuguese international Conceiçao has made his way to the very top of Leipzig’s wishlist, considered the ideal replacement for the transfer-linked Olmo.

Awaiting the funds from Barcelona’s next offer, as much will in turn be put towards a deal for the Porto standout, who is understood to be available for a fee of around €30 million.
