Ravens-Commanders preseason game Monday: Time, TV, live stream, matchup analysis

The Baltimore Ravens' NFL-best preseason streak lives on.

The Ravens extended their win streak in the preseason to 24 games with a 20-19 win over the Philadelphia Eagles last week without quarterback Lamar Jackson or most starters on the field. The Ravens have not lost a preseason game since 2015.

Can the Washington Commanders change that?

The Commanders and Ravens held two joint practices this week ahead of their Monday night matchup at FedExField in Maryland, and both resulted in multiple skirmishes, including one where Ravens tight end Mark Andrews slammed Commanders CB Danny Johnson, who suffered a rotator cuff injury on the takedown.

"(There was) a lot of competitiveness, a lot of chippiness, but (I have) a lot of respect for the organization and what they stand for," Andrews said.

What to know about Ravens vs. Commanders

Ravens CB Marlon Humphrey had foot surgery Wednesday to address a "lingering" issue, announced head coach John Harbaugh, who didn't offer a timeline on Humphrey's return. Baltimore's defense might have lost Humphrey temporarily, but the team picked up three-time Pro Bowl defensive end Jadeveon Clowney.

Meanwhile, Commanders coach Ron Rivera confirmed Friday that Sam Howell will be the team’s starter following a quarterback battle with Jacoby Brissett. Rivera said Howell performed better under Eric Bieniemy’s new offense. Howell threw for 77 yards and one touchdown in the Commanders' 17-15 win over the Cleveland Browns.

Washington Commanders quarterback Sam Howell (14) scrambles from Cleveland Browns defensive end Lonnie Phelps (63) during the first half at Cleveland Browns Stadium.
