Rashford in transfer ‘talks’ with Barcelona as Deco comments on move
Marcus Rashford and Barcelona are reportedly in talks over a move in the January transfer window.
The Manchester United forward is looking for an Old Trafford exit after failing to win a place in Ruben Amorim’s team since the Portuguese replaced Erik ten Hag as manager.
“For me, personally, I think I’m ready for a new challenge and the next steps,” he said in December.
AC Milan, AS Monaco, Borussia Dortmund, Como and Juventus have all been linked with the 27-year-old, but Sky Sports reported last week that Barcelona is his “preferred destination”.

The British broadcaster now claims that Rashford‘s representatives met with Barcelona officials in Lisbon ahead of the club’s Champions League clash with Benfica.
The Blaugrana will need to offload players before they can sign Rashford, with Eric Garcia and Ansu Fati expected to leave this month to create room with their salary cap.
Barcelona sporting director Deco admitted as much when he spoke to the media on Tuesday, admitting the club are restricted in what they can do in the transfer window.

“We are dealing with the issue of [financial] fair play,” he said. “In the final days, if the team can be strengthened, we will try, but as of today there is nothing.
“The priority is the renewals of the important players in the squad, and then we could focus on one or two reinforcements, but it is not something that the coach has asked of us either.”
Sky Sports News also claim that a move is looking “increasingly difficult”, but Man United are “relaxed about the situation”.
