Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford says he is “ready for a new challenge” when asked about his future at the club.

Rashford was left out of Ruben Amorim’s squad to face Manchester City on Sunday, with the Red Devils going on to win 2-1.

And journalist Henry Winter is reporting that Rashford has admitted he is ready to leave the club.

“For me, personally, I think I’m ready for a new challenge and the next steps,” Rashford told Winter.

“When I leave it’s going to be ‘no hard feelings’. If I know that a situation is already bad I’m not going to make it worse. I’ve seen how other players have left in the past and I don’t want to be that person. When I leave I’ll make a statement and it will be from me.”

Rashford, 27, made his debut for United in 2015 and has since gone on to score 138 goals for the club.

He has scored four goals in 15 league games this season and started in Amorim’s first two league games in charge but has fallen out of favour under his new boss.
