Durant, Thompson fire back at Drake after Warriors win Game 2

The Golden State Warriors edged the Toronto Raptors 109-104 in Game 2 of the NBA Finals and might’ve silenced their opponent’s biggest fan — at least for the time being.

Drake, who trolled the Warriors expertly throughout Game 1, was relatively quiet during Game 2 and his friends on Golden State didn’t let him live down his prior tactics.

Fast-forward to the 1:05 mark here, where Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson have some fun at Drake’s expense.

After Durant is informed by a staffer that Drake is in the tunnel, he turns back for some light-hearted banter.

“See you in the Bay, Aubrey,” Durant jeers at Drake, a reference to his given name, Aubrey Graham.

“Weren’t talking tonight, were ya? With your bum ass,” Thompson adds.

To be fair, Durant, Thompson and the Warriors have familiarity with Drake, as they’ve been referenced in his songs in the past. But it might be a bit jarring otherwise for the OVO leader.

Durant and Drake continue to argue about how close the result actually was, before Thompson interjects that “it was light work, too.”

Nothing like some trash talk between friends to add fuel to the Finals rivalry, as the series resumes Wednesday at Oracle Arena tied at one game apiece.
