Toronto Raptors small forward OG Anunoby will not make his playoff debut during Game 1 of the NBA Finals as he continues to recover from an appendectomy he underwent on April 12.

Anunoby was listed as questionable ahead of Game 1 and his defensive acumen would be a welcome addition for the Raptors, who are squaring off against a true offensive juggernaut in the Golden State Warriors.

The 21-year-old may be available for Game 2, Raptors head coach Nick Nurse confirmed, according to Yahoo Sports Canada’s Vivek Jacob.

Anunoby averaged 7.0 points and 2.9 rebounds per game during the regular season, while shooting 45.3 percent from the field.
