Raptors' OG Anunoby, Khem Birch will be sidelined indefinitely with injuries
The Toronto Raptors have been hit hard by the injury bug this season, and it seems the team’s infirmary will stay busy for a little while longer.
In a media availability on Tuesday, head coach Nick Nurse gave an update on the injuries plaguing Khem Birch and OG Anunoby, mentioning that both will be “out for the foreseeable future.”

Anunoby has been inactive since mid-November after suffering a hip pointer in practice, while Birch has been in and out of the lineup as he deals with swelling in his right knee.
The Raptors have certainly missed the pair, struggling to find their footing without Anunoby’s consistent two-way play and Birch’s paint presence. Anunoby leads the team in scoring with 20.1 points per game, while Birch is Toronto’s most efficient shooter with a 50 percent field-goal percentage.
Despite the bad luck on the injury front, Nurse’s squad has won back-to-back games for the first time in a month, and might be turning the corner as the young team grows into itself.
Toronto will look to continue its winning streak when it hosts the Oklahoma City Thunder on Wednesday night at Scotiabank Arena.
