Raphinha has made the most of his start in Brazil’s Group D closer against Colombia this evening, firing home a stunning free-kick to break the deadlock in the opening 15 minutes.

The Barcelona man was a surprise start after Savio took his spot against Paraguay in the last Group D showdown, scoring a goal with his chance as well.

But Raphinha was quick to reward Dorival Júnior for his decision, sticking a long-range free-kick into the top corner.

The goal saw Brazil leapfrog their opponents on the live standings, but Colombia pulled level with nearly the last kick of half.

Raphinha could come in handy in the potential quarter-final to come for Brazil, as Vinicius Junior will miss the clash thanks to his early yellow-card in the match.
