Pedro Neto’s electric performances for Wolves have seen the winger linked with a big-money move, as clubs circle for the Portugal international.

Last season Neto recorded nine assists in 20 league appearances with just two players across Europe’s top five leagues bettering his 0.53 assists per 90 minutes.

We’ve looked at the five favourites to sign Pedro Neto.

Manchester City – 8/1

Manchester City sit as 8/1 outsiders in the race for Neto, with Pep Guardiola having revealed his side are unlikely to do further business this summer.

The Citizens have signed Savinho from City Football Group-owned Troyes, after a brilliant season on loan at Girona that delivered 19 goal involvements in La Liga.

City, however, are known admirers of Neto and could launch a move if there are exits from the Etihad. Bernardo Silva, Julian Alvarez and Jack Grealish have each been linked with moves away from the champions.

Newcastle – 5/1

Newcastle’s transfer window is yet to really get going, with Lloyd Kelly’s free transfer arrival from Bournemouth the headline deal, alongside some much-needed goalkeeping depth and Lewis Hall’s loan-turned-permanent transfer to St James’.

The focus early in the window was PSR compliance, which led to the £70m combined sale of Yankuba Minteh and Elliot Anderson to Premier League rivals.

There was disappointment at the departure of both players with the duo of high potential, particularly Minteh who thrived on loan at Feyenoord last season. The arrival of Neto would significantly reduce the groans around the North East.

Liverpool – 5/1

Liverpool boast a depth of forward line options but doubts over the long-term futures of Mohamed Salah and Luiz Dias have led to speculation of interest in Neto.

The Reds lack a natural alternative to Salah on the right flank and Neto would fit the bill as an option, arriving Premier League proven and with real pace to trouble teams. Liverpool have had success when recruiting from Molineux previously with Diogo Jota a key part of the current squad.

Arsenal – 3/1

Arsenal are another side in search of wide players this summer as Mikel Arteta seeks competition for Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard. Like Liverpool, Arsenal are without natural cover on the right and Neto’s comfortability off either flank adds to his appeal.

Arsenal previously targeted the winger two seasons ago but were rebuffed in their attempts. Neto, meanwhile, revealed in 2021 that he grew up supporting the Gunners.

“When I was a kid growing up watching English football, my favourite team was Arsenal, Neto told talkSPORT back in 2021.

“Because with Arsene Wenger, I thought besides winning trophies they played very good football.”

The exits of Emile Smith Rowe and Reiss Nelson could free funds to launch a move.

Tottenham – 3/1

Tottenham are joint-favourites to sign Neto in a North London battle for his services.

Ange Postecoglou’s game plan is built on adventurous football and Neto would add a dynamic difference to the Spurs side. Tottenham know better than most what Neto is capable of, after the Portugal winger’s explosive assist against them last season.

The game was 1-1 when Neto decided to go it alone, running from well inside his own half before teeing up Joao Gomes. It was an example of Neto at his unstoppable best.
