Roma boss Claudio Ranieri had high praise for Alexis Saelemaekers after yesterday’s 5-0 win over Parma.

In his post-match presser, Ranieri spoke highly of the Belgian winger who was once again one of Roma’s best performers.

“Saelemaekers is an international player, a good player who can play different roles,” Ranieri told reporters after the game.

“I needed him on this wing to execute certain plays, and he is doing well in interpreting what I want from him.”

“So, this is my comment: he is fine like this. But this does not mean that it will always be like this, because, from game to game, coaches make choices, maybe change their minds and evaluate other solutions.”

“I liked him against Sampdoria and I liked him again today.”
