Rangers Star Shockingly Scratched Against Devils
The New Jersey Devils are back on the ice today to face off against the New York Rangers. The Devils will look to stay hot after defeating the Pittsburgh Penguins by a 3-0 final score last game.
The Devils will not need to worry about Chris Kreider in this matchup, as the star forward will be a healthy scratch for the Rangers.
Kreider being scratched is undoubtedly notable, as he is one of the Rangers' best players. However, with the Blueshirts going through serious struggles right now, Kreider will be taking a seat.
In 30 games this season with the Rangers, Kreider has 11 goals, one assist, and a minus-4 rating. He has struggled as of late, though, posting just one goal over his last eight games and just two over his previous 13.
Kreider being out of the lineup is certainly not bad for the Devils, as he has plenty of success against them in his career. In 51 career games against New Jersey, he has 24 goals and 42 points.
