🚨 Rangers sink to defeat at League One side Birmingham City
Rangers have been beaten. by Birmingham City in a pre-season friendly.
The League One side raced to a 2-0 lead in the first half, after James Tavernier deflected a header from a corner into his own net, and experienced midfielder Alfie May added the second.
Reports indicated that some Rangers fans booed their side off at half-time at St Andrews, disappointed by the poor display in the first half.
Scott Wright – who had gone close early in the second half – pulled one back for the Scottish side, this time making no mistake off the back of a quick break.
Yet there was nothing more Rangers could add, as Birmingham held on and ultimately took the spoils.
