Yahoo Sports Rangers Set To Take On Panthers In 2026 Winter Classic
The New York Rangers are set to play in the 2026 Winter Classic.
They face the Florida Panthers at LoanDepot Park in Miami on Jan. 2, 2026 in what marks the Rangers’ third Winter Classic appearance and sixth outdoor game.

NHL commissioner Gary Bettman feels this Winter Classic will be unique.
“It’s going to be a little unusual,” Bettman said. “It’s going to be a little more unique. Some people think we’ve lost our minds, but we’re not ready to announce it. We will soon, and it’s going to be good.”
The Rangers have won all five of these matchups and rank fourth in outdoor game appearances, only trailing behind the Chicago Blackhawks, Pittsburgh Penguins and Philadelphia Flyers.
