Rangers J.T Miller Trade Speculation ‘Not Going Away Anytime Soon’
J.T. Miller’s connection to the New York Rangers will continue to make headlines.
With the Vancouver Canucks in complete disarray due to the reported feud between Miller and Elias Pettersson, the organization is on the verge of blowing up the core.
The Rangers have been linked to have interest in Miller while also reportedly engaging in conversations with the Canucks for the veteran forward.
Darren Dreger of TSN believes that the speculation around Miller and the Rangers will only continue to pick up steam.
“I would look, of course at New York,” Dreger said. “I mean, JT Miller speculation, linked to the New York Rangers, who are obviously playing better; that's not going to go away anytime soon.”
Canucks president of hockey operations Jim Rutherford confirmed yesterday that the tension between Miller and Pettersson is negatively impacting the team and he basically insinuated that the only way to solve this issue would be to break them up.
“I felt like for a long time that there was a solution here because everybody has worked on it, including the parties involved... But it only gets resolved for a short period of time and then it festers again and so it certainly appears like there’s not a good solution that would keep this group together,” Rutherford said.
Keep your eyes peeled to see if Rangers general manager Chris Drury tries to get anything done with Vancouver between now and the Mar. 7 NHL Trade Deadline.
