Rangers' Forward Experiences Special Moment With Father In Vancouver
While he has not played for the New York Rangers during this road trip Jake Leschyshyn experienced a special moment.
Leschyshyn was called up by the Rangers last week from the Hartford Wolf Pack after Filip Chytil suffered an upper-body injury.
The Rangers played in Vancouver to take on the Canucks on Tuesday night and Leschyshyn actually got to see his father while at the game.
According to The Athletic’s Peter Baugh, Colorado Avalanche scout Curtis Leschyshyn, father of Jake, was at Rogers Arena last night and the two got to catch up in the press box.
Fun twist in the schedule: Avs scout Curtis Leschyshyn, father of Rangers' forward Jake Leschyshyn, is in Vancouver tonight to scout the game. Jake got called up before the trip, so he and his dad got to catch up in the press box tonight.

These kinds of moments show that hockey is more than just a game as a father and son were able to connect in what was likely a joyous movement for both.
