The Rangers Would ‘Do Bad Things’ To Acquire J.T. Miller According To Paul Bissonnette
The J.T. Miller trade rumors involving the New York Rangers just don’t seem to be going away.
Paul Bissonnette talked on the Spittin Chiclets Podcast about rumblings he’s heard on the Rangers’ desire to acquire Miller.

“I heard Drury would do bad! things to get JT Miller,” Bissonnette said. “I keep hearing that Rangers to J.T. Miller connection.”
This comes weeks after Arthur Staple and Peter Baugh of The Athletic reported that the Rangers had inquired about Miller’s availability.
“A league source said the Rangers recently inquired with the Canucks about J.T. Miller, who is currently on an indefinite leave of absence,” Staple and Baugh wrote. “Miller was a 2011 first-round pick by the Rangers and has been coveted by Drury before — the Rangers were after Miller before the 2021-22 trade deadline, but wouldn’t include Braden Schneider in a deal. Miller then signed a seven-year extension worth $8-million a year, pulling him off the market.”
There’s also this alleged tension between Miller and Elias Pettersson that has caused a media storm around the Vancouver Canucks.
With rumors continuing to intensify, it’s possible that Miller will get traded before the season's end.
"What I know is, and this is based on intel and sourcing from around the league, that yeah, there's been a lot more chatter, certainly around J.T. Miller," TSN’s Darren Dreger said.
Whether it’s for Miller or not, the Rangers are likely not done making moves as their struggles have officially reached a boiling point.
