Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams has expressed his desire to be traded amid growing rumors of his unhappiness. Adams has a list of teams he would be open to joining, and there is speculation that he may have hinted at a potential landing spot on social media.

On Friday, Adams posted a photo of the American poet Edgar Allan Poe to his Instagram story. He followed it up with a quote from the writer that said, "Believe nothing you hear and half of what you see."

The six-time Pro Bowler's cryptic post had Baltimore Ravens fans speculating. The poet, who lived part of his life in Baltimore, wrote the popular poem "The Raven," which was published in 1845 and tells a story that encapsulates the feeling of despair from losing something very close to you. The reference to Poe's work could be interpreted as a hint about Adams' feelings towards a potential trade.

Irrespective of the potential interpretation of Adams' message, the Raiders have been actively in talks with multiple teams, but no deal has yet gained significant momentum. As per Ian Rapoport's report for the NFL, it could be a week or more before any team decides to proceed with a trade for Adams, keeping fans engaged in the evolving situation.
