Raiders player had a Kermit the Frog doll in Patrick Mahomes jersey at practice

You’d think the Raiders would have learned by now not to poke the bear.

Each time the Raiders do something to irritate the Chiefs, it backfires on them horribly. Remember the victory lap around GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium that the Raiders took in 2020? That fueled the Chiefs, who won the next six meetings against the Raiders.

That streak was snapped last Christmas and the Raiders celebrated by smoking cigars in the visitors’ locker room at Arrowhead. Six weeks later, the Chiefs smoked cigars in the Raiders’ locker room at Allegiant Stadium after winning Super Bowl LVIII.

It was the ultimate payback for the Raiders’ hubris.

The Raiders had some fun Thursday at practice as they played with a Kermit the Frog doll that had a Patrick Mahomes Chiefs jersey. The doll also had a curly mop of hair that resembled Mahomes’ iconic cut.

X user RaidersAQ said the doll was being passed around by Raiders players. The video was later deleted, but by that time it had already been shared so many times that the video will be around forever.

This likely will be played frequently around Oct. 27 and Nov. 29 when the Chiefs play the Raiders in the 2024 NFL season.

Mahomes’ voice has been likened to Kermit the Frog, even by his teammates, and the Raiders players were having a good laugh.

Fans shared their thoughts on the hijinks, and it wasn’t just Chiefs Kingdom who chimed in on the video, which was going viral.
