Quick Facts: Kaprizov Registers 100th Career Multi-Point Outing

Kirill Kaprizov has been electric this year. He just notched his 100th career multi-point outing last night against the Anaheim Ducks.

Kaprizov, 27, had two goals and one assist against the Ducks on the road, Friday night. He extended his road multi-point streak to eight games and reclaimed the top spot in the League’s scoring race with 27 points in 14 games.

"He’s driving our team. That’s the biggest thing," Marcus Foligno said on Kaprizov leading the league in points. "You need your horses going, and what MacKinnon does for his team, if he’s not on every night it’s usually not a great night for the Colorado Avalanche. He’s our star player. When he’s going, the whole bench is going."

The 5-foot-11 forward's road multi-point streak is tied with Roman Josi (8 GP in 2021-22) and Steven Stamkos (8 GP in 2017-18) for the longest road multi-point streak among active skaters.

The last player with a longer run was Wayne Gretzky (9 GP in 1990-91). The Wild play the Chicago Blackhawks on Sunday in Chicago. Kaprizov will have a chance to tie Gretzky.

Kaprizov has six goals and 20 points on the road this season in just eight games.

He also joined Mikko Koivu (153) and Marian Gaborik (114) as the third player in franchise history with 100 multi-point performances and became the fastest among the three to reach the mark.

There are only three active players in the NHL who have recorded 100 multi-point games quicker than Kaprizov's 292 games. Alex Ovechkin (272), Connor McDavid (270), and Sidney Crosby (235) have done it in fewer games.

"He’s got a good shot and he’s strong on the puck too," Ducks defenseman Brian Dumoulin said on defending Kaprizov. "It’s hard to knock him off, so if he can get going in the offensive zone it’s hard to stop."
