The PWHL has sold out in Vancouver. It didn't take long for the Takeover Tour game scheduled for January 8, 2025, at Rogers Arena to sell out, achieving the feat in less than two days. The highly anticipated matchup between the Montréal Victoire and the Toronto Sceptres is one of nine neutral-site games this season, with the goal of bringing the PWHL games across North America.

The Victoire and Sceptres are filled with PWHL stars. Starting with Montréal, they are led by one of the greatest female hockey players of all time in Marie-Philip Poulin and features a stacked roster with stars such as Mikyla Grant-Mentis, Ann-Renée Desbiens, Erin Ambrose and Laura Stacey. As for Toronto, some of the stars expected to hit the ice in Vancouver include Kristen Campbell,  Jocelyne Larocque, Sarah Nurse, Jesse Compher and Natalie Spooner.

The PWHL kicks off its 2024-25 season next Saturday, November 30. This year, the PWHL has introduced some intriguing rule changes, including a "No Escape Rule," which requires teams that take a penalty to start the same four players who were on the ice when the penalty was taken on the penalty kill. The 2024-25 regular season concludes on May 3, 2025, with playoffs to follow.
