Pulisic says Milan ‘feel good’ and shifts focus from past struggles against Inter

Ahead of the big clash between AC Milan and Inter, Christian Pulisic spoke to the media and shared his thoughts on the delicate situation. He made it clear that they aren’t focused on the past derby struggles, but only on tonight’s game.

Pulisic has been an important player for Milan at the start of this season, with three goals and two assists, but there’s only so much he can do when the defence isn’t working. Tonight, he’s starting to the right in a four-man midfield as Paulo Fonseca has decided to switch to a 4-4-2 formation.

Speaking to DAZN ahead of the game, as cited by MilanNews, Pulisic shared his thoughts on the situation and what it’s like to play in the derby. As mentioned at the start, he made it clear that they aren’t focused on the fact that Inter can make history tonight.

On the game…

“We have to work hard to get the result, but we feel brave. We feel good after the training sessions we had in the last few days.”

Six derbies in a row lost…

“For us, it is not important to look at the statistics, every match against Inter gives us an extra incentive. We just have to think about performing well to bring home a positive result.”

It remains to be seen how Milan will be able to cope with Inter’s attack with the new formation, especially since some would even consider it to be a 4-2-4 shape. Hopefully, Pulisic and his teammates can grab a positive result.
